Academic Functioning
- The first school in the area having Euro Kids Saplings for its pre primary section.
- The first school in the area having brought in the concept of smart class in 2009.
- The school has been producing excellent AISSE and AISSCE results. The school produced topper of Commerce stream in the area in the very first batch which appeared for AISSCE-2013 and strives to continue its multifaceted approach in future as well. 11 students of class X secured full 11 full 10 GPs out of which 10 students ahd opted for board based SA-II.
- The first school in Dalhosuie providing transport to far flung villages where good education was a dream. The parents wanted their children to go to good schools but no other school ventured into it as it involved huge cost of putting up transport system in those areas, GNPS without keeping the financial benefits in mind took the initiative and was widely appreciated by the area. The people of the area are hugely responsible for the success rates of the school.
- The first school in the area having started winter coaching for its board classes which was a huge success and a distinguished effort of its management and staff.
- The AISSE results in the schools have been excellent throughout. In 2005 the school was the only school in Dalhousie town to get 100% results with over 70% first divisions.
- Lately in the AISSE-2014 the school had six students getting full 10 GPs in the said exams.
- The school started senior secondary wing in 2011 and in the very same year its student Abhinav Sahrawat S/o Col Sahrawat stood 6th all over India in Science Olympiads.
- The maiden batch of Class XII passed out in 2013 for the Science and Commerce streams with 100% results. Shradha Sapra of the school topped the area in the Commerce stream and subsequently cleared the CPT in 2013. 30 students out of 39 appeared students got first divisions in the science stream and 13 out of 22 students in Commerce stream got first divisions. The school also gave the area topper Shradha Sapra in the Commerce stream. 11 students in the commerce stream secured more than 80% marks in one or more subjects and 20 students in science secured the same. Anubhav Singh the topper of the 2013 science batch successfully cleared the NDA entrance.
- Akhilesh Negi top scored Science with 94 % and Nikita Bajaj (area Topper with 91%) in Commerce stream. Nikita Bajaj cleared the CPT entrance.
- Two of our students Amit Thakur and Akhilesh Negi cleared the JEE mains held in April 2014.
- The school has been getting top ranks in the Olympiads right from their starting in 2009 till now.
- The school has a distinguished achievement of having its alumnus in IIT Powai Mumbai.
- Recently Hitesh Thakur of GNPS and Shweta Abrol of GNPS cleared the PMT/PDT exams
- Class 12 Class 10 results of GNPS have been outstanding in the session 2015 and 2016 as well. Many students in the Science stream crossed 90 % in aggregate and otherwise. Students outshined in the area yet again in the Commerce stream as well.
- The school is equipped with modern and up to date equipments to ancilate teaching as well as to enhance the co curricular interests of the students.
- The school has got well equipped Science and Mathematical Lab.
- The Library of the school is also well stocked catering to the varying interests of the students (including Encyclopedias, story books, biographies etc.)
- The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education New Delhi vide no. 630071. We follow modern and stress free techniques while imparting education to the students. More emphasis is laid on practical teaching than theoretical notes so that the child can co-relate the curriculum with day to day life as much as possible.
- Most of the books are supplemented with CD roms for better understanding of the students. Audio visual aids are used with LCD and OHT projectors.
- The school has got well-equipped Science lab, Mathematical lab, computer lab and a well stocked school library catering to various tastes of the students including encyclopedias, biographies, novels, magazines etc.
- Subjects are offered as per CBSE guidelines. Punjabi/ Sanskrit is taught as additional languages.
- The academic session begins in the first week of March and ends in the month of December.
